Electroactivated water (EAW) is currently being investigated in a pig farm. In a controlled test, half of the pigs are supplied with EAW enriched drinking water, the other half with ordinary tap water. Moreover, the facilities in active groups are being cleaned by nebulized EAW between breeds, whereas conventional cleaning by means of bacteriostatics is being used for the control group. The aim is to test whether EAW treatment results in a better utilization of food compared to conventional breeding. Moreover, the health conditions are compared between the animals in the treatment group and the control animals.
